Christmas time in garden

Wreaths are up.  The Back 40 Christmas Tree has lights up.  We always wonder if our nextdoor neighbor enjoys the tree as we think he can see if from his back patio. Hope so!  It sure looks lovely in the snow.  The deer seem to leave it alone, thankfully!  Bird feeders are all up now and filled with sunflower seeds (Thanks to a wonderful neighbor who donated a large supply!), berry and peanut butter suet and peanuts.  Chickadees, Nuthatches, Steller's Jays and Flickers are the first to come.  Still hopeful for the Eastern Blue Jay family to appear (they came to the house for the first time ever last winter), and our group of flying squirrels.  Those creatures are nocturnal, so they fly in after 9pm usually and feed on the peanuts in the dead of night.  Very cool to catch them on the cameras gliding in for a feed!
