In January and then in early summer, we discovered that at least two mountian lion moms with 2-3 kittens each had made their home at the back of our property in a wetland area--really perfect for hunting and teaching the kittens. That is one of the great benefits of living on the edge of a vast wilderness area. Grizzly and Black Bears, Mountain Lions, Bobcat and Lynx, Fox, Deer, Elk, Moose live here and have used our property for generations as a corridor to Morrel Creek, to travel down to Seeley Lake, and make their way between the two mountian ranges--the Seeley Swans (Bob Marshall Wilderness) to the East, and the Mission Range to the West. This is their home. Living with them in peace is important. These are winter and spring 2020 pictures of the mountain lion family on our property.
