Barney’s Garden

Barney’s yard was created to serve he glorious golden retriever in our lives!! It is the central feature of the Verdehr Garten, made possible by the vision of Elsa and Walter Verdehr who determined that all good dogs needed a special place to “be”.

Garden Shed Destination!

 The new garden shed, from Montana Shed Center in Missoula is a hit! We purchased it off their lot. It was delivered and placed in what we call the “back garden”. It is an unusual sloped shed with windows on all sides, and a larger picture window at the back looking into the forest at the back of the property. We needed the windows not only to view nature,and to give natural light to the space, but to watch out for mountain lion and bears which use the area.  Looking a bit like a drive through coffee hut, we decided it was a destination for the garden. Tool storage, potting shed, and place to make a cup of coffee to warm up in the cool fall and spring!
