Snow is finally melting in the valley, both Mission and Seeley-Swan. Spring is but 10 days away! Already the forest animals are stirring. Flocks of turkeys, Canada geese, and raptors are out and about setting up nests and territories. Spring has a lot to offer in the coming weeks. It is time to bring in the bird feeders and check the trail cams for evidence of bears, foxes, mountain lions.
I am looking forward to see all of the bulbs planted in the fall break the surface of the soil...and especially the snowdrops. I have never planted them before, so we will see what happens! Other delights are flowering dogwood, sand cherry, multiple azaleas-pink, tangerine and yellow. Beds are filled with orange, pink, red and yellow tulips, purple allium, daffodils. April and May should put on a great show!
I look forward to seeing the Glacier Lily pop up in the Barney Yard too!
Winter was long. Winter was a challenge. Who would have thought that Covid would morph into War.
The Garden is Peace. I wish everyone could have a garden to go to.
